Clean, basic room suited for travelers focused on exploration. Breakfast featured delightful pastéis de nata, setting a good tone for the day.
Very small rooms lacking proper views with old towels. Noisy environment from nearby traffic and dogs. absence of air conditioning in some rooms. Leaky shower and poorly functioning hairdryer persisted during the stay.

Stayed in a Standard Triple Room for 7 nights in early October. Enjoyed the daily breakfast, especially the freshly baked pastéis de nata and yogurt in cute jars. The staff made an early breakfast for us on our departure day, which was a thoughtful touch. The place was clean with a very complete kitchen available, allowing easy meal prep. The walk to the city center was about 10 to 15 minutes, which was pleasant, especially with ice cream on the way back. However, the mattress and pillows could have been more comfortable. There was noticeable road noise, especially in the mornings and evenings, which made it difficult to relax at times. One morning, breakfast was late, and there was a shortage of juice and milk. All in all, a good stay but could use a few improvements for comfort and breakfast consistency.

I really enjoyed the great atmosphere and the friendly, attentive staff during my 10-day stay. The clean and well-equipped shared kitchen was perfect for cooking, and the inviting outdoor space allowed for pleasant meals in the fresh air. The location was ideal since it was not far from the city center and close to the airport, making it easy to explore the stunning island.
The only downside was some noise from the streets, especially in the mornings.

How it stacks up, my honest take
Clean and cozy, with friendly hosts who went above and beyond to help. The shared kitchen was well-equipped, and breakfast featured the best coffee I've tasted. A lovely outdoor sitting area provided a great spot for meals. Just be prepared for some noise from nearby planes – you'll get used to it!

The breakfast was fantastic, especially the freshly baked pastéis de nata and the cute yogurt jars – it got us ready for our day exploring places like Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo. The location is pretty good, just a short walk to the city center. Don't forget to ask for an early breakfast if you have an early flight!
One minor issue we faced was the road noise. it was a bit noticeable, especially in the mornings. But we were usually too tired from our adventures to let it bother us.

great stay but could improve soundproofing
I had a lovely time during my 7-night stay. The breakfast was truly exceptional, featuring the best coffee I've ever had, along with delightful fresh bread and natural juices. The hosts were incredibly helpful and provided great tips for local adventures. Additionally, I appreciated the comfortable garden space, where I could interact with other travelers. A clean, well-equipped kitchen also made cooking a breeze.
The noise from passing planes was noticeable at times, especially when trying to relax during the day.
